How Others Have Used Coaching in Awakening2Life! Lynn is very successful and proficient at what she does in her career as a bank teller. She realizes, however, that she has never allowed herself to "live her passion" of pursuing interior design. She has just inherited some money. She isn't sure whether to go back to school for "credentials" or puchase an on-going design busines and learn "through experience." Somewhere along her journey, she developed tapes that told her she needed to be in a structured business that was a "can't miss" route to success and that it is more difficult to create financial succss in creative fields. She hires Coach B to help her to establish her intentions, develop a plan and support her through the implementation of her dream, as she deals with the old tapes that want to keep playing. Ben has it all ... money, status, good looks, personality ... as well as a divorce after 15 years. He can't figure out what happened. He says he took good care of his wife and children, providing them with a home, vacations, the best schools for his children. Ben has just began to realize that, perhaps, there is more to life than simply material success. He finds himself feeling frightened, anxious and at times even bewildered. He hires Coach B to help him through this difficult time of forging a new path in life that includes being single, examining his own spiritual beliefs, and relating to people with an entirely new outlook. Sharon has just divorced her husband of 20 years ... the children are in college and she now finds herself dealing with her own sexuality, an aspect of herself which she has ignored for many years. She knows that it created issues for her with her ex-husband and doesn't want to repeat the same mistakes in the future. She isn't sure of her identity as a sexual person and feels a deep sense of fear and uncertainty with her feelings and emotions. John and Mary are successful entrepreneurs, but between their work and their home life, they feel as if they are "walking in each other's skin." They are best friends, successful business partners, and have had a good marriage for 25 years. They are ready to move to an expanded and new level of relationship . Harold is a "people person." In his career in insurance, he initially began working directly with the clients and loved helping them. As time went on, he moved into management. Though it was a path to even greater financial success, he finds that he has never pursued the real passion of his life ... photography. Early in his teens, he did a report on what it would take to become a photographer. The letter from a famous travel magazine telling him that "a doctorate" would be necessary seemed out of reach for Harold, a kinesthetic learner. Having just turned 50, he has decided there is no time like now to pursue his passion! He hires Coach B to help him develop a game plan for how to pursue his dream ... coaching him through design of his logo, website and other business toools, as well as what type of photography business to pursue, how to acquire clients, and how to develop a marketing plan. Coach B even works with him weekly on the "ups and downs" of being in his own business, serving as a "professional friend" ... yes, one can get lonely at times as sole owner of a small business after having been in the corporate world for many years. Lynette has been on the "fast track" for 20 years ... she no longer has any energy for her work and realizes that she has forgotten how to "smell the roses." She is successful in all the materialistic ways of the world, but she finds that she has no inner joy. She hires Coach B to help her pursue a more rounded lifestyle incorporating the mind, body and spirit approach to life. Having just turned 40 and still unsure about what type of relationship she wants to pursue, she realizes that she has avoided committed relationship and buried her fears in her work. Furthermore, she feels unsure about her sexual orientation. She hires Coach B to help her explore her feelings and examine why she has avoided this area of her life for so long. Coaching is unique for each person. And yet, the process of Coaching has common threads which can provide an environment for individuals to embrace their transitions and shift into transformation!
